1      pound ground turkey

4      tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

2      tablespoons chopped garlic

2      teaspoons chopped shallot

1/3 teaspoon sea salt

Black pepper

2      teaspoons parsley flakes

pinch cayenne pepper

*1     Egg

*1     tablespoon bread crumbs

*4     100% whole wheat Buns

*      Dijon Mustard

*      Butter

*      mayonnaise

  1. In a large bowl combine ground turkey, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, shallot, sea salt, parsley flakes, and cayenne pepper.  Add egg (if using one) and one teaspoon of black pepper; mix well. Add bread crumbs and mix.  Take a third of mixture and roll it into a ball, then pat all mixture into patties.
  2. In a sauté pan heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add patties to pan.  When one side is cooked halfway through, flip for the other side to cook.
  3. Open 4 whole wheat buns and spread a moderate layer of butter.  In a sauté pan lay each bun face down to lightly brown. Repeat for each bun.  Spread a small teaspoon of mayonnaise and small spoon of Dijon mustard on each bun.  Sprinkle with a pinch of black pepper. Place a burger on each bun or add burger to a spinach salad or eat a skinny burger (without the bun).
